Welcome to BHIMC!
The Birmingham International Music Competition is an international classical music competition that takes place online and offers both promising young musicians and active professionals the opportunity to show their musical talent on the global stage.
BHIMC 2024 is opening a new panorama in the world of international classical music competitions, with its unique form of virtual participation. The competition will be held in the following classical music disciplines: piano, keyboards, strings, wind instruments, percussion, voice, piano duo and chamber music. Each discipline is divided into different age categories. There is no age limit for participants.
BHIMC is a unique classical music competition, that brings a new standard to the musical community as an excellent opportunity for both talented young musicians and more established ones to take their talents to a new level.
BHIMC was created to boost artistic opportunities for both young musicians and established ones.
BHIMC provides an international opportunity for musicians to improve their artistic talents, including at an early stage. Making music at the highest level is no easy task. It takes a great deal of effort, discipline and dedication. But all this work needs to be seen on a global stage to be consummated and move forwards in the wonderful art of playing music.

Competition Timetable
- December 2nd, 2024: Deadline for Admission
- December 3rd to 9th , 2024: Qualifying Round. Viewing and evaluation of the submitted video recordings.
- December 9th, 2024: Notification to participants selected for Competition Round.
- December 9th to 14th, 2024: Competition Round Applications (Submitting application form and payment of competition round fee).
- February 1ST, 2025: Competition Awards Announcement.
