Competition Timetable
- November 20th, 2023: Deadline for Admission
- November 21st to 25th, 2023: Qualifying Round. Viewing and evaluation of the submitted video recordings.
- November 25th, 2023: Notification to participants selected for Competition Round.
- November 25th to 30th, 2023: Competition Round Applications (Submitting application form and payment of competition round fee).
- February 1ST, 2024: Competition Awards Announcement.

Prizes
- The overall winner will receive the “Grand Prize of the BHIMC competition” of £ 1,200.
- There will be certificates for winners of the First, Second and Third Prizes.
- A selection of winners will be invited to perform at Online Birmingham International Series 2022.
- There will be Certificates for participants with special and honorary mention.
- Certificate of recognition for music professors on request.
- Prize winners will appear on our competition website and social media (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and Instagram) with a portrait of the concert, a biography and the prize-winning video.
- Our aim is to give continual support to winners to help them promote and develop their musical studies and career on an international stage.
*Ex Aequo awards are permitted. BIMC reserves the right to divide the cash prize “Grand Prize of the Competition” in case of a draw. All decisions of the competition and its judges are final and legally binding.
Recommendation Letters
Participants who have advanced to the final round of the BHIMC at least twice with three prizes in different styles will have the opportunity to obtain a letter of recommendation written by the secretary of the board of judges for school or university applications.
